CTL activities are informed by current research in teaching and learning in higher education and are designed to support faculty, instructors, and academic units in taking up promising, evidence-informed instructional practices in university courses and programs.

The CTL provides strategies, services, programming, resources, and support in areas such as teaching development, course and curriculum design, assessment, educational technology, inclusive teaching, Indigenization, open education, experiential learning, and teaching innovation.

While the CTL offers a number of centrally available workshops, programs, and resources, much of its work is grounded in partnerships with academic and support units. These partnerships help the CTL respond to diverse and discipline-specific teaching and learning needs across the institution.

The CTL aims to provide leadership in supporting academic excellence and to serve as an expert pedagogical resource across the University of Regina and its Federated Colleges.
