We are thrilled to announce the 2025 President’s Teaching and Learning Scholars! Due to increased interest, this year’s call focused on the integration and exploration of generative AI in teaching and learning.

After careful consideration, we are excited to recognize the following scholars and their innovative areas of inquiry:

  • Dr. Justin Longo (JSGS) – “Enhancing Briefing Note Writing Skills Through Generative AI Integration in Public Administration Education
  • Dr. Jaime Mantesso and Dr. Shauna Davies (Faculty of Nursing) – “TEAiL Explore: Integrating Generative AI to Transform Nursing Education and Foster Future-Ready Healthcare Professionals
  • Dr. Scott A. Thompson (Faculty of Education)Using Generative AI to Enhance Inclusive Education through Innovative Assessment and Instructional Practices
  •  Dr. Susan Yamamoto and Dr. Kaila Bruer (Faculty of Arts, Psychology) – “Enhancing Forensic Psychology Education Through AI-Driven Interactive Roleplay Simulations

These scholars were selected for their thoughtful and forward-thinking proposals, which aim to integrate generative AI into their respective disciplines and areas of study. Their projects will explore innovative approaches to teaching and learning, with potential benefits for both students and colleagues across the institution.
