The Centre for Teaching and Learning offers support for faculty members who would like to develop or strengthen their teaching dossiers.
What Is a Teaching Dossier?
A teaching dossier is a document that summarizes and provides evidence of an academic’s accomplishments related to teaching and learning. Teaching dossiers may be electronic or paper-based and can demonstrate both current teaching practices and growth over time.
How Can a Teaching Dossier Be Used?
A teaching dossier can:
- support personal and professional reflection and growth related to teaching;
- support applications for academic positions;
- support reappointment, tenure, and promotion processes; and
- support applications for teaching awards, grants, and other forms of recognition.
