The Centre for Teaching & Learning is pleased to announce the 2022 President’s Teaching Scholars. As President’s Teaching Scholars, these individuals are recognized as outstanding faculty who demonstrate a strong commitment to teaching and learning in their practice as well as the willingness to promote teaching and learning excellence in their faculties/departments and across the institution. Each individual will serve two-year terms and have been awarded funding to carry out projects that will directly enhance the learning experience of U of R students.

The 2022 President’s Teaching Scholars are:

  • Dr. Muhammad Asadullah, Department of Justice Studies
  • Dr. Jacqueline Fields, Faculty of Social Work
  • Dr. Paul Sinclair, Paul J. Hill School of Business

More will be shared about each individual’s project in the weeks ahead.

This year’s group will join the 2021 President’s Teaching Scholars who are serving the second year of their term. Last year’s recipients include:

  • Dr. Maria Davis, Department of Biology
  • Dr. James Gacek, Department of Justice Studies
  • Dr. Wallace Lockhart, Paul J. Hill School of Business
  • Dr. Tim Maciag, Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science
